Hekate's OCs

The characters below are some of Hekate's various original characters. Fanart of any of them will be accepted for the art contest. While they enjoyed a bit of spicy fanart themselves, for the sake of the contest, please ensure all submissions are at least PG-13.
Untitled images are characters I don't know the names of, but still wanted to include. For more options or examples of their art, you can go to the memories page, and visit any of their former socials linked there.

Character Notes:
Cyanide - D&D myxapia (ooze/slime persion) character who uses mostly they/them pronouns. They were a drakewarden ranger in a D&D campaign. Their drake was a cosmic dragon with dark purple sparkly scales that looked like the night sky named Imri. They were 3k+ years old and ran a large self-sustaining homestead that turned into a small city-state in its own right. They could change their form mostly at will, but often chose a short, mostly androgynous humanoid form. They dated an elven man during the campaign that couldn't die. and the couple became a throuple with a himbo kitsune man.
Ardere: A fire genasi who was once a slave to a dragon. After a brief journey in the campaign he was brought into, when shit hit the fan, he ran off with his changeling gf who was a phoenix sorceress, and they now happily run a goldsmith shop together.
Faebrix: A chaotic halfling monk with 4th-wall-breaking abilities who was often too stubborn for her own good. She got an illegal alien implant in her brain that nearly killed her on a whim, but gave her access to the fantasy version of the internet. Due to events in the campaign, she ended up getting the powers of a Fey Lord and now runs her own section of the Feywilds.
Cynthia: A firbolg cleric with a background as a magic teacher, she sought adventuring as a way to help more people. She is a scholarly and motherly figure who loves her halfling wife.

Note: Hekate, Hecate, Cthonia, and Selene are canonically the same character in Hekate's lore. I cannot do the immense lore and story-writing they put into their FF character justice in a brief paragraph, but what I can say is they were a deeply empathetic intellectual who ran a clinic to help those in need, and experimented in alchemy.

Glamour Contest

Since Hekate was a self-proclaimed witch and did divination work, this year's contest will be to dress up in your best witchy attire. Let your inner cottage witch shine in this glamour contest. To make it fair to those who don't use crimes, these glams must be vanilla only. Submit entries via Discord. It closes at midnight on Sept 26th.

Rules

1. All glams must be vanilla. Custom posing and filters are allowed, but character model and props must exclusively be vanilla.
2. Only one entry is allowed per person. If you believe you submitted the wrong image, please message KennyraeWolf on discord to request to change it.

Prizes

1st Place: 5 million gil and/or a 60-day time card for FFXIV
2nd Place: 3 million gil and a free photoshoot (vanilla or modded)
3rd Place: 1 million gil

About

On September 11, 2024, Tarot Leblanc, also known as Hekate Apothecare or Kyali Maru in the Final Fantasy XIV community, passed away from Stage IV Sarcoma cancer. To honor them, we will be hosting a charity event to raise money and awareness for sarcoma-related charities. This year, we will be donating to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.Hekate was an amazing person, friend, and mentor to many. As a family member put it, they were always unapologetically themselves. They struggled in a world that didn't always accept them for choosing to be nonbinary, but they pressed forward no matter what obstacles they faced, whether due to their gender, health issues, or anything else they came across. They were always willing to lend a helping hand, especially to those they called friends, always going above and beyond whenever possible. They were a talented artist, both in traditional and digital media, an author, and a skilled tarot reader. They were wise beyond their years and were taken from us too soon at the age of 27.But death is not a permanent end, merely an end to a new beginning. A new chapter in Hekate's life that we will all someday follow, when we, too, pass on and return to the star, whatever lies beyond. What we have right now is the time spent with friends, family, blood or no, and those we hold dear, to make every moment count, and to take care of ourselves to the best of our ability. Life will always throw us curveballs - physically or emotionally. However, if we can find comfort and joy in the small things, such as the people, pets, and things that give even the tiniest boost of serotonin, that makes it worth it and the hard times more bearable.
